Abstract
First The Representative, followed more recently by The Investigation and Incident at Vichy, raised once again the whole question not only of the tragedy of the Jews dunng the reign of Nazism but of the human condition in general, of man's responsibility m the face of the unversal threat to mankind. More perhaps than the vast literature on the subject produced over the years, these recent attempts at presenting it on the stage have increased the public's awareness of the “Unanswered Question.” The following series of contnbutions takes the discussion a stage further.
