This article is based on the same author's recent book, God, Man and Atomic War. His other books include The Zaddik, The Jew in American Life, Prayer Humility and Compassion. The writer is at present rabbi in Springfield, Mass., and previously has been editor for ten years of Conservative Judaism (New York).
