Abstract
Called upon to reply to Dr. Goldmann's address, the Chief Rabbi, Dr. Immanuel Jakobovits, took up some points made by the speaker, in particular on the question of nationalism and religion, and on the Russian-Jewish problem. He also posed the question whether the price paid in accepting the Reparation Agreement with Germany, in which Dr. Goldmann played a major role, was not too high. What follows are extracts from the Chief Rabbi's observations.
