Abstract
This is the concluding pant of the essay, the first part of which appeared in the Summer/Autumn, 1980, issue of The Jewish Quarterly.—the author is a pioneer in the field of research on the subject, and herself a popular singer of the folksongs in her own unique interpretation. She is the author of VOICES OF A PEOPLE, the story of Yiddish folksongs, published by McGraw-Hill Book Company, New York (2nd edition, 1972).
