School-Based Intervention Strategies for School Phobia: A Ten-Step “Common Sense” Approach

Abstract

“Most behavioral and psychodynamic practitioners recommend that the phobic student be returned to school as quickly as possible by employing: operant and classical conditioning, desensitization and relaxation techniques, the training of parents in behavioral management, and the involvement of both family and school in neutralizing the phobic student's reaction.”
