An Integrated Materials Management System: Its Design and Formulation

Abstract

An integrated management control system which makes use of quantitative business methodology is discussed. Areas where decisions need to be made and requiring assistance from the system are: distribution, production planning, inventory control and production sequencing. Quantitative techniques employed include time series forecasting, linear and integer programming, inventory and production sequencing theory.
