Abstract

The Quality Control System is defined in the context of the industrial production enterprise and the central role of the quality control function in management decision making is emphasized/Several areas into which quality control must move if it is to realize its full potential in the hierarchy of management control are then explored. Included are the expansion of the traditional activities of acceptance inspection and monitoring of processes to detect assignable causes and extensions into feedback control and the optimal setting of process specifications.
