Potential Role for Industrial Engineering in the Human Service Delivery Subsystem

Abstract

This paper presents the view that applications of Industrial Engineering techniques in the human service delivery subsystem could and should become a commonplace occurrence. To support this view, the paper contains information on: human service needs in the next 10 years; the potential role of the industrial engineer; and concluding remarks about the utilization of and expectations for human service deliverers. Application areas are presented throughout the paper.
