Pages 47-53 | Received 01 Mar 1979, Published online: 09 Jul 2007

Abstract

This paper considers the following queueing system:; two classes of customers use the same s-server loss system. A mathematical model is developed for the case where one class of customer can preempt the other and the mean service times of each class of customer may be different. These results are then used to numerically investigate the behavior of various measures of performance as well as the system in general.
