Abstract
Three AMS radiocarbon dates on samples of bone collagen from the archaeological site of Tal-e Kureh indicate that the transition from the Lapui to the Banesh eras in the Kur River Basin occurred around c. 3365 BC. This finding accords well with radiocarbon dates of the Lapui-Banesh transition from the Mamasani region and also with age estimates for the Early Banesh based on ceramic parallels with material from the Susiaria Plain.
