Antarctic Krill: an Exploitable Resource – Fact or Fantasy?

Abstract

Krill harvesting in Southern Ocean waters is increasingly attracting interest from the world’s major fishing powers. In this article George Knox reviews the current state of knowledge of krill resources and concludes that we cannot say now that a krill harvest which is sustainable at a high level is possible in the Southern Ocean.
