Modeling and Transient Response of DC Separately Excited Motor Taken Account of Armature Reaction

Abstract

This paper describes a model of DC separately excited motors which is taken account of armature reaction and mutual interaction between the armature and the field flux of the motor. The magnetic saturation in the field core is also considered. The effect of the armature reaction on the transient responses is discussed. The method for determination of the parameters of this model is also presented. The propriety of this model is verified by comparison of the calculated results with the measured results.
