ABSTRACT

Modern mechanical systems require i.a. drives based on motors with more degrees of mechanical freedom, particularly in industrial manipulation, robotics, positioning equipment, and so on. The paper describes an electronically controlled drive with a new gearless two-coordinate stepping motor for an accurate linear-rotational positioning and its practical application in industrial measuring manipulators.
