Analysis of Unstable Phenomenon of Three-Phase Synchronous Motors

ABSTRACT

The unstable phenomenon, which is known as the hunting, often occurs under certain conditions in a light loaded operation of the synchronous motor. This paper analyzes these conditions affected by-machine parameters. Lyapunov's direct method is adopted for the stability analysis. This method can be obtained information about both the stable and unstable domains in simple calculations.
