APPLICATIONS OF TRANSMISSION LINE THEORY IN POWER ENGINEERING

&
Pages 601-618 | Accepted 04 Jun 1993, Published online: 16 May 2007

ABSTRACT

Many elements of transmission line theory are not adequately addressed in most of the textbooks in power system analysis. As a result of this omission students fail to realize the concepts that are essential for the design of power transmission lines. This paper makes that connection between elements of transmission line theory and their applications in the design of power transmission lines by providing many numerical examples.
