ABSTRACT
In this paper, the pull-in criterion for three phase synchronous reluctance motor is studied by applying Lyapunov's direct method. The method readily yields the effects of varying the system parameters without solving non-linear differential equations. Evaluation of the criterion is carried out experimentally. Experimental results are found to be in very good agreement with analytically predicted results
