ABSTRACT

Polyaniline – Pr2O3 composites have been prepared by in situ polymerization technique. The prepared composites were characterized by XRD, FTIR and SEM. Further the DC and dielectric study was carried out in two probe method. From DC conductivity, it is found that the conductivity increases with increase in temperature and filler concentration. Dielectric and permittivity studies shows that the resistivity decreases with increase in applied field due to the dipole polarization. The AC conductivity increases with increase in Pr2O3 in polyaniline due to decrease in the bulk resistance by molecular moment of composites segments. Among all composites, 30 wt % of composites shows high conductivity of about 0.3 S/cm followed by other compositions were 40 and 50 wt % shows lowest conductivity due to blocking of charge carriers. Therefore, these composites can be used for different technological applications.
