Phtoinduced structure distortions of the oxigen-octahedral ferroelectrics

Abstract

The photoinduced distortions which results in lowering of symmetry in a unit cell is discussed. They are the cause of the forbidden activity of A2-phonons in the Raman spectra. The contribution in RS spectra of LiNbO3 and LiTaO3 from local strained states which connected with excitation of photorefractive centres were detected.
