Abstract
The new version of ‘ACMAT’ (active materials) database has been developed. In the database, information concerning properties and parameters of ferroelectric, piezoelectric, pyroelectric, electrostrictive and related substances and materials have been compiled. A record for each substance consists of eight boxes which are associated with: general data (chemical composition, preparation technique, crystal structure and phase transition data), dielectric, piezoelectric, pyroelectric, optical parameters, conducting and some thermic and thermodynamic quantities. Information on applications and manufactures of materials is also provided. Besides ACMAT includes the two subDatabases ‘References’ and ‘Piezoelements’. The latter contains design description and parameters of commercial piezoelements.
The ACMAT database can be used by materials researchers, solid state physicists and chemists, as well as by new devices development engineers. ACMAT software runs on any IBM PC.
