Reconciling holdings across multiple libraries: A study in data analysis techniques

Pages 279-290 | Received 03 Nov 2015, Accepted 22 Dec 2015, Published online: 20 Jun 2016

Abstract

In this article the author builds on previous articles in a series to document the use of a cloud-based data warehouse environment to enable in-depth querying and comparison of bibliographic data from multiple data sources. The author suggests an approach to the recombination of disaggregated bibliographic metadata using low-cost, high value systems that could be transformative in helping libraries, archives, and museums approach bibliographic and other metadata-centric decision-making needs in new ways.
