Abstract

A study has been made of a broad series of nucleosides and acyclonucleosides of a variety of benzimidazole analogues. Quantitative kinetic data are presented, and the mechanism of the reactions described, taking into account steric, electronic and conformational effects. The overall results are also compared with those of purine nucleosides.
