Abstract
The synthesis of the saturated carbocyclic methylene phosphonate analog of ddAMP is described by two different methods (epoxyde opening and “purinoselenylation”). Studies towards the formation of 2′,3′ unsaturated analogs by selenoxyde or mesylate elimination are also reported.
