ABSTRACT
A kinetic model for the inter facial- process of copper extraction with individual 2-hydroksy-5-alkylbenzaldehyde ox lines which takes into account both the partition and adsorption of hydroxyoximes at the interface, was presented and used to estimate the ratios of specific extraction constants for homologs of various hydrophobicity. These ratios of specific extraction constants are in an agreement with the standard free energy of hydroxyoxime adsorption at the hydrocarbon/agueous interfaces.
