Stanley D. Halper

Stanley D. Halper is national director of audit planning for Coopers & Lybrand. Previously, he was the national director of the firm's auditing directorate and of its computer audit assistance group. Halper has been in the practice of public accounting since 1949. He has had extensive auditing and computer consulting experience and has been active in all of the organizations of this profession. At the request of the EDP Auditor's Foundation and the Japan Information Processing Development Center, Halper recently directed a study of advanced computer-assisted audit techniques used in the US. He is a coauthor of the Handbook of EDP Auditing published by Warren, Gorham & Lamont.
