Richard Traver

Richard Traver, PhD, CPA, CIA, CISA, is the executive director of the Office of University Audits for the University of Illinois. Prior to this position, he was the senior vice president of the Bank of Oklahoma. In this position. Traver was responsible for providing auditing services to 25 banks in the State of Oklahoma. Previously he was in public accounting and Insurance industry auditing. Traver is the immediate past president of the Association of College and University Auditors. He is a member of the Central Illinois Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), a participant in the IIA GAIN Project, and a member of the IIA Business and Industry Relations Committee. Traver also is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Information System Auditors and Control Association (ISACA).

Gloria Ring

Gloria Ring has worked in the Office of University Audits at the University of Illinois since 1980. She was the project leader in the implementation of the Controls Assessment Tool by the University. Currently, Ring is completing the design enhancements for its Windows 95 and Macintosh versions that are mentioned in the article.
