Interspecies Politics: Nature, Borders, States

by Rafi Youatt, Ann Arbor, Michigan, University of Michigan Press, 2020, 208 pp., $65.00 (hardcover), ISBN 9780472131754

Notes

1 It should be noted that non-human entities refers both to living and non-living forms. Though Youatt focuses on animals, as the category of “animal” has carried specific political weight, he is quick to note that non-living forms such as the contours of a river and land changes that may result from a flood, are also practices that comprise a “state.”
