Abstract
In this wide‐ranging meditation, geronimo ji Jaga touches on a variety of themes: that a White racist power structure has used lies, violence and even Black turncoats to oppress those struggling for Black liberation; that those men and women—Black and White—who have committed themselves to the struggle understand that prison, exile or death are likely; that some former Panthers seem to have erroneously stated that the BBP is one wing of the Democratic Party; that what the BPP called for in the 1960s is still valid—a UN supervised plebiscite for Black Americans; that prison violence against inmates of color is growing, including against Chicano/Mexicano prisoners, many of whom have never heard of the Brown Berets; that the BPP learned from sisters in the Party the importance of fighting sexism as well as racism; and that the fight for self‐determination must be based on “revolutionary love.”
