The Emergence of the Comprehensive Information Management System

Abstract

The comprehensive information management system (CIMS) is a new concept in MIS departments. Its basic goal is to integrate data base management systems with state-of-the-art data dictionaries, computer languages, design systems, and end-user software to create the most efficient and effective information management system possible. The result will be the creation of a more effective environment for the delivery and use of information.
