Investing in Alternative Computing Trajectories

Abstract

Making sound information systems decisions requires careful assessment of an organization's computing trajectory, a view that encompasses hardware, software, and vendor services and the implications of these choices in a rapidly changing environment. Only then will computing investment analysis accommodate the differential development of new technical capabilities among traditional vendors.
