Reducing Software Maintenance Costs with Benchmarking

Abstract

Excessive maintenance costs can under-mine the success of any system. Benchmarking systems in development and maintenance can correct potential problems in new systems and monitor the maintenance effort expended for operational ones. This article suggests guidelines for establishing a benchmarking system.
