System Diagramming Methods: Which Works Best?

Abstract

Diagramming is used in every stage of systems development and can be executed in various levels of complexity to accommodate both nontechnical users and MIS professionals. This article describes diagramming symbols, reviews each diagramming method individually, and discusses which techniques are best suited to each stage of systems development.
