Improving Information System Efficiency Through Statistical Process Control

Abstract

Statistical process control has been used in contemporary organizations to improve production and, more recently, administrative and service processes. This article focuses on the concepts behind statistical process control and its problem-solving techniques and illustrates how the MIS department can use these tools to improve a computer decision support system.
