IT MANAGEMENT PLATEAUS An Organizational Architecture for IS

Abstract

An IT management plateau is regarded as a development stage of the application of IT. Five management plateaus characterize the development of IT in organizations. On each successive plateau, the costs and risks of the IT investment are higher, but the potential of IT to add value to the business also increases.
