Abstract

The CitationCenters for Disease Control and Prevention (2008) reported that 60% of American women did not engage in the recommended daily amount of physical activity and 25% are not physically active at all. The concept of holistic health or wellness refers to an active process in which an individual's life is influenced by dimensions that include physical, emotional, social, mental, and spiritual factors.
