Hospice and Death Education: A Resource Bibliography

Pages 3-61 | Published online: 13 Sep 2017

ABSTRACT

This bibliography classifies and organizes a portion of the growing number of articles that have appeared in the last eight years in the area of death and dying and hospice care. When we began our efforts, we did not expect so many sources or references related to hospice programming, planning, administration, education and care. New articles appear almost daily. Books and journals in the area of hospice and death and dying are growing monthly. In 1984, the American Journal of Hospice Care published its first issue. In early 1985 the present research-oriented journal, The Hospice Journal: Physical, Psychosocial, and Pastoral Care of the Dying, also appeared.
