ABSTRACT
Budgetary restrictions at government and program levels limit the development of research in hospice/palliative care programs. The present paper examines some additional factors that apparently reduce the publication of research work in areas related to hospice care, reviews some of the constraints on hospice research, and offers some suggestions to improve the situation.
