Standards of a Hospice Program of Care

ABSTRACT

These revised standards for programs of hospice care reflect the National Hospice Organization’s (NHO) commitment to advances in palliative and terminal care and its obligation to help hospice programs achieve appropriate accountability to the publics they serve. The standards comprise an instrument for evaluation and enhancement of the quality of the scope of hospice services agencies deliver to patients and their families.
