Tilak de Alwis
Tilak A. de Alwis received his B.Sc. with First Class Honors from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka, and his M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota. Currently an associate professor of mathematics at Southeastern Louisiana University, he joined the faculty in 1989. His current interests include commutative rings, computer algebra systems, and classroom uses of computer technology, and as an avid Mathematica user he enjoys experimenting with Mathematica to form and test conjectures. His hobbies include playing guitar and keyboard. He resides in Hammond, Louisiana, with his wife Mallika and son Thimal.
