George E. Andrews
George Andrews received his BS and MA degrees from Oregon State University in 1960, and his Ph.D. in 1964 from the University of Pennsylvania. He joined the Pennsylvania State University and in 1981 became an Evan Pugh Professor. He has been a visiting faculty member at colleges and universities on four continents. He has published extensively on partitions and related areas of mathematics and is often a featured lecturer at professional meetings. In 1993 he received the MAA Distinguished Teaching Award for the Allegheny Mountain Section.
