David M. Mathews
David Mathews received his Ph.D. from North Carolina State University in 1992 and is currently a member of the graduate mathematics faculty at Central Michigan University. He enjoys teaching both mathematics and research-based courses on the teaching and learning of mathematics. He offers these courses for doctoral candidates in a newly established Ph.D. program in mathematics with concentration in the teaching of college mathematics. David also co-directs the “Calculus, Concepts, Computers and Cooperative Learning” (C4L) calculus reform program. His current research focuses on how mathematics is learned by college students.
