Abstract

The Association for Death Education and Counseling (ADEC) has announced several pre-conference specialty workshops as well as a continuation of its three course sequence designed to prepare qualified death educators and counselors to take the certification test. Specialty workshops will be held on the topics of Critical Incident Stress, Impact on AIDS in the Infant/Maternal Population, and Saying Good-Bye. Faculty for the workshops include Lois Chapman, Dick and James Deticks, Helen Baker, and Judy Tatelbaum. Faculty for the Professional Development and Certification Course Workshops include John Stephenson and Barbara Sironen (Basic Course), Charles Corr and Kenneth Doka (Intermediate Course in Death Education), Eugene Knott (Intermediate Course in Death-Related Counseling), Terese Rando (Advanced Course in Death-Related Counseling).
