The use of computers in water resources education and training

The use of computers in the water resources field is assessed in terms of the formal educational process and the principal elements of computer technology of relevance to water resources. Some problems with the implementation of this technology for practitioners and educationalists are identified. The education and training necessary to enhance the effective use of computers are examined.
