Valerie Tate Angel

Valerie Tate Angel, MSW, LCSW, is the former deputy secretary-general of the International Federation of Psychoanalytic Societies (2008–2016) and director of the Supervisory Training Program of the Postgraduate Psychoanalytic Society and Institute. She is a faculty member, senior supervisor, and training analyst at the Training Institute for Mental Health, New York, USA, and in private practice in New York. As well as being regional editor of the International Forum of Psychoanalysis she has published on psychoanalytic supervision, dreams, the mourning process, and group supervision. Her latest publication is “The space of engagement: Fashion and transformative communication,” in Psychoanalysis in fashion (A. Richards and A. Katz, eds.; 2018), IPBooks.
