Sally Macarthur

Dr Sally Macarthur is a senior lecturer in musicology at the University of Western Sydney. She is author of Feminist Aesthetics in Music (Greenwood, 2002), and co-editor of Intercultural Music: Creation and Interpretation (Australian Music Centre, 2006) and Musics and Feminisms (Australian Music Centre, 1999). She is currently completing her second book, Composing and Decomposing Women in Music, which offers a feminist- Deleuzian critique of the practices of ‘new’ (classical) music.
