Andrew Alter
Andrew Alter is a Senior Lecturer at Macquarie University, Australia where he teaches ethnomusicology. He has written two books on the traditional music of India focusing on ritual drumming in the Himalayas. He also has extensive experience with Indonesian gamelan performance and currently directs the Macquarie University Gamelan Ensemble.
