Neal Cooper
Neal Cooper, Project Manager at Enersyst, was elected as IMPI’s President of the Board of Governors in October 2003. After earning his degree in Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University, Neal Cooper spent 12 ears in research and development in the medical and geophysical exploration industries, designing automated systems to analyze noise, vibration, smoke and many other physical parameters, until joining Enersyst in 1991. With his strong background in geophysical exploration, Cooper is adept at designing and developing controllers that withstand hostile, high temperature, high pressure, and corrosive environments, a critical factor in microwave systems. Cooper supervises the applications of microwave technology utilized in client solutions developed by Enersyst, such as the Lincoln Aim oven and Enersyst’s oven for the home. He has developed microwave power systems for food and non-food applications, including microwave medical waste sterilizers, microwave retorts, and microwave-assisted air conditioners, and has also designed cavity-tuning systems, which allow accurate measurement of equipment performance. The IMPI Board of Governors is pleased to announce the election of Neal Cooper as our 2003–2004 President.
