Kathryn T. Theus

Kathryn T. Theus is a director of undergraduate studies and instructor in the College of Journalism of the University of Maryland. She attended Randolph Macon Women’s College and earned a baccalaureate degree in English from Louisiana State University and a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Maryland, where she is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in public communication. A former religion editor, reporter, and feature writer for the Alexandria (LA) Daily, she is also a former free-lance writer for a Louisiana public relations firm, a former instructor in English at LSU, and an educational consultant for the Episcopal Diocese of Louisiana. Her most recent projects include readership studies of a suburban weekly newspaper and a study of the differences in education and career patterns between male and female graduates of the College of Journalism, University of Maryland.
