Michael Murray
Michael D. Murray is associate professor and director of the mass communication program at the University of Missouri, St. Louis. He received his bachelor and master of arts degrees from St. Louis University and his Ph.D. from the University of Missouri, Columbia. He was founder and first director of the communication and journalism program at the University of Louisville and also served on the faculty of Virginia Tech University. His articles have appeared in Journalism Quarterly, Journalism History, Journalism Educator, Communication Quarterly, and Communication Education. He has served on the editorial boards of several publications, including Communication Education, The Journal of Consumer Research, and American Journalism.
