Timothy Walters
Timothy Wahers is an assistant professor in the Department of Communication, Stephen F. Austin State University. He is Completing his doctoral work in communication at the University of Texas. His thesis, “Untying the Cognitive Knot,” examines the content of AIDS public service announcements. Lynne Masel Walters is an associate professor in the Department of Journalism at Texas A&M University. The co-author of Bad Tidings: Communication and Catastrophe (1989), she was director of public information at the Institute for lmmunological Disorders, the nation’s first hospital devoted solely to AIDS.
