Abstract
This study examined whether using visual aids in a public speech, delivered from manuscript, was related to lower levels of state anxiety. In essence, it was found that those who used a visual aid reported lower state anxiety than those who did not use a visual aid. The implications of this result are discussed in the conclusion of this paper.
